[Provider] Update on Emergency Hospital Rule Regarding Physician Reimbursement

ATTENTION:  Hospitals that receive Prospective Interim Payments from
MaineCare

 

Last week, the Office of MaineCare Services posted via this listserv, an
emergency rule regarding reimbursements to hospital-based physicians.


 

The proposed rule that was posted is inaccurate - the change in
reimbursement should apply only to non-emergency, hospital-based
outpatient physician services. Soon, an emergency rule will be drafted
to correct what was proposed. We apologize for any confusion this may
have caused.
