[Provider] Claims Hold Date for Interim Payment Recovery To Be Updated

ATTENTION:            All MaineCare Providers with Interim Payment
Balances

 

A claims hold was initiated earlier this year for providers with interim
payment balances.  The process currently holds all claims processing to
payment for these providers with service dates prior to October 1, 2006.


 

On July 12, the hold will be updated to capture all claims with service
dates prior to April 1, 2007.  This is only for those providers with
outstanding interim payment balances.

 

The State of Maine has recaptured 69% of the total $526 million in
interim payments made to MaineCare providers.  Numerous efforts are
underway to assist providers in returning those payments, including the
claims hold.

 

Providers with outstanding interim payment balances are encouraged to
complete an on-line tool with information on claims payment issues.
