[Provider] Interim Payment Recapture Claims Hold has been Updated

ATTENTION:  All MaineCare Providers with Outstanding Interim Payment
Balances
 
A claims hold was initiated earlier this year for providers with interim
payment balances.  The process currently holds all claims processing to
payment for these providers with service dates prior to April 1, 2007.
 
The hold has now been updated to capture all claims with service dates
prior to July 1, 2007.  This is only for those providers with
outstanding interim payment balances.
 
The State of Maine has recaptured 74% of a total $528 million in interim
payments made to MaineCare providers.  Numerous efforts are underway to
assist providers in returning interim payments, including the claims
hold.
 
Providers with outstanding interim payment balances are encouraged to
complete an on-line tool with information on claims payment issues. This
can be accessed at

Providers with interim payment recapture questions are encouraged to
contact the OMS Billing & Information Unit at 1-800-321-5557, Option 8.
