[Provider] Issue Identified with Voiding Legacy Hospital Claims

ATTENTION:  All Hospital Providers Who Receive Prospective Interim
Payments 

 

During the implementation of void functionality MaineCare Services
encountered an issue with voiding legacy hospital claims that may cause
prospective interim payments (PIP) to be offset.  "Legacy" claims refer
to claims that were processed prior to the implementation of MeCMS.   

 

We are currently making corrections to ensure proper processing of these
voids.

 

This issue is isolated to the voiding of claims that were billed or
reimbursed in the legacy system prior to the implementation of MeCMS.
Until further instruction is given, please refrain from submitting this
type of void transaction.
