[Provider] Note for MaineCare Providers Submitting Void Transactions for Legacy Claims

[Provider Notification]

ATTENTION:  MaineCare Providers Submitting Void Transactions for Legacy
Claims

 

A problem has been identified with the submission of void transactions
for legacy claims.  These are claims that were processed prior to MeCMS
implementation.  In some circumstances, voiding these claims will result
in returning an amount greater than the amount to be voided.  Providers
can check for this on their Remittance Advices (RAs) for the 10/17 and
10/24 cycles.  All other legacy void transactions are being held until a
correction is implemented.

 

Providers are asked to not submit any new void transactions on legacy
claims until further notice.  A resolution to the problem is underway.
Providers will be notified once this problem is corrected.
