It appears that C/W MARS is the one causing the problem.  Indeed, their 
main web page (http://www.cwmars.org/) is offline right now.  Ellen Conway
tells me that this is one of her favorite, best catalogs to search, so 
rather than deleting them from the list I'd suggest avoiding using them 
for the next day or two & hopefully they will come back online.
