[SOLAR-L] Heads up-Work in progress

Good morning from the Starship Enterprise. I'm here to avoid blizzard
conditions, although the Klingons are rather testy this A.M.

Seriously, I spent most of the weekend processing bib records to get
everyone who was waiting caught up. It hasn't been easy. In order to whup
incoming records into some form ofd civility, I use a combination of Marc
Edit, Marc Magician and the pre-loading software Karl created.
Unfortunately, Two of these are on my lasptop and the other (and
unreplacable one) is on my desktop. Thanks to lots of coffee and three thumb
drives, I managed to make progress. However, even these tools can't catch
every little oddity and while reloading Blue Hill yesterday, a process that
should have taken 3-4 hours, consumed a day and is not complete. However,
since most libaraies are closed due to the Miami-like weather, I'm plugging
through the remainder today. If all goes well, I will finish loading Blue
Hill and do a bit of cleaning before moving on to deleting COA's item
records and reloading theirs. Sometime later this week, I'll be loading
Presque Isle.
I give you this heads up because these processes might slow the Solar
System at times (If Mars suddenly appears to be orbiting closer to the sun
than Venus for an hour or two, blame me)
Regards,
John Clark

It was a place where a special maid waited for my all
too infrequent visits."
