[Solar-L] Solar Server Update: 9:30am Tuesday, May 15

The SOLAR server is back up.  However, it is currently running without a
properly configured "hot-swap" drive in the RAID array.  Further work needs
to be done.

 

You can go ahead and use the system now if you wish.  However, there is a
small but nevertheless real possibility that should the system go down again
today before it is thoroughly diagnosed and fixed, some new data could be
lost.  Maintaining a paper record of what you do between now and the
sounding of a full "all clear" might be useful, just in case.

 

I will continue to post updates to SOLAR-L until the server is fully
repaired.
