[SOLAR-L] New List Serve for Catalogers

Maine Librarians,
     As requested at the Maine InfoNet Summit in August, a new list serve
has been set up for catalogers to talk about cataloging issues.  We hope
that everyone that catalogs library materials in the state will subscribe to
this list.  This is a way for new catalogers to get tips from the pros and
from those cataloging a long time to hear what's new in the field.  It's a
place where catalogers can communicate with other catalogers.

To subscribe to the MaineCatalogers-L mailing list, send e-mail to:
MaineCatalogers-L-Subscribe-Request at LISTS.MAINE.EDU

No subject line nor message text is required; if anything is present, it
will be ignored.  When Listserv (R) receives your request, it will send
confirmation e-mail to you. Please follow the directions in that
e-mail,which is normally for you to click on a link to complete the
subscription process.  You may get to a page for subscribers and managers of
lists.  YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING ON THAT PAGE.  YOU DO NOT NEED A USER
NAME AND PASSWORD.  Once you have followed the instructions in the email,
Listserv will acknowledge your subscription, as well as send a welcome
message.

Subscribers may sign off by sending e-mail to
MaineCatalogers-L-UnSubscribe-Request at LISTS.MAINE.EDU  (You may want to keep
this information in a file, to turn off lists while on vacation or when you
will be away from your e-mail for a long period of time).

Subscribers may post to the list by sending e-mail to
MaineCatalogers-L at LISTS.MAINE.EDU

The MaineCatalogers-L mailing list web site and archives are located at
http://LISTS.MAINE.EDU/archives/nmld-l.html

Anyone (subscribers and anyone else in the world that knows the web site
address) may view the MaineCatalogers-L web site and search/view old posts.
