[SOLAR-L] May Cataloging Class for SOLAR

Anyone has experienced a problem registering on the Events Calendar for the
SOLAR cataloging class which begins on May 7? The problem has been corrected
and you may now register. If you missed the original announcement about the
class I have copied it below.
I will be offering a basic cataloging class for SOLAR catalogers We will
meet Wednesdays, May 7, 14, 28, June 4, 11, and 25 (No classes May 21 or
June 18) in the Studio of the Maine State Library from 9:30 - 12:30. We will
discuss MARC Format; selecting a good record; finding records in Remote Z39
and creating and adding a record when you can't find a match in the data
base. We will also review how to select the correct form of a name being
added to a record. At least one class will be devoted to subject headings.
You will be expected to attend all classes and complete homework
assignments.
There is no charge for this class.
