[SOLAR-L] UMS system maintenance -- will affect Minerva and SOLAR

This message has gone to MELIBS and MEINFO, but I want to make sure
everyone is aware of it:

On Sunday, October 12, there will be multiple infrastructure 
maintenance operations which will affect services throughout UMS.

CNS (NOC) is doing work on networking equipment which will affect  
access to services (and affect operation of some systems).  Systems  
and Operations (SO) is also doing work will affect systems and  
services.  CNS expects that their work will be completed by 0900.  The  
SO work will start earlier but may take much more time; we are hoping  
to be done by 1000.

The SO work will most directly affect the SOLAR and MINERVA systems in  
your space: those systems will be down.  Backups and other external  
facilities of URSUS and INN-Reach may be affected; the systems may  
otherwise continue to operate but their services may not be accessible  
during periods of time during the CNS work, although the outages for  
your [other] systems is expected only to be a matter of minutes.


So, if you are open Sunday morning you will not have access to Minerva
or SOLAR; the work should be complete by 10am.
