Hello Minervians,

Over this past weekend, Maine State Outreach has moved into URSUS as part
of Maine State Library's collection.  This means the following changes for
those in Minerva.

MSO's active collection is now in the URSUS system.  Therefore, you will
interact with their items and patrons through MaineCat, the same as you
would for all other Maine State Library items.

MSO items in Minerva are from here on out superseded and should not be
used!  I've made them non-requestable and am suppressing them in the OPAC,
but those who place holds in the client, take note: NO holds should be
placed on these items.  They will be cancelled and not replaced.

If your patrons currently have MSO items out, let them finish out their
loan, then send them back as usual.  Attempts to renew will be prevented,
as if there was a hold queue.

If MSO patrons currently have your items out, they will finish out their

If MSO items are currently on your hold shelf waiting for patrons, when you
try to check them out, they will give an error, needing override (because
I've changed the loan rule determiner to point to non-circulating.)  In
this case, you can override and set the due date to the usual 3 weeks.
Sorry about that inconvenience.

MSO staff will be cancelling their patrons waiting holds on Minerva items
and re-placing them in URSUS or MaineCat.

MSO staff will be cancelling or transferring holds from your patrons on
their items.  If there is another Minerva library with the item, it will be
transferred to that queue.  If there is no other item in Minerva, the
patron will receive the standard hold cancellation message.

Hopefully that all makes sense.  We've worked hard to make the transition
as smooth as possible, but there are a couple of things that need special
attention as we make the jump.  If you have any questions about specific
items/patrons, please get in touch with MSO to iron out the details.  If
you have questions about something in the system working oddly, please send
in a ticket.
