[minervacirc] IMPORTANT NOTICE -- Minerva System Username Cleanup

We are in the process of running annual cleanup projects at the Maine
InfoNet office. One of which is the cleanup of usernames that are
unused/retired or relocated/etc. usernames in the system. In order to do
this, we need your assistance.
We are asking everyone at each library to login with their username,
whether it is an individual or generic username, to change the password.
The system will allow you to "change" your password to the one you
currently have setup with that account (example: If you were using "apples"
for a password, you can still use "apples" as your new password). Making
the motions to "Change your password" will time stamp the account, which
will help provide us with a list of usernames to use as our weeding list.
To change the password:
1. In Sierra, go to the file menu and select *Admin*
2. Click *Change Password*
3. A dialog prompt box will appear asking for the *Old Password*, the *New
Password* and to *Retype New Password*. Enter your password information.
4. Click *OK *
Please have all staff complete this process by the end of the day on *November
20th*. Any usernames with passwords that have not been updated by November
20th will be *locked by **December 1st* and *deleted by **Jan. 1*.
Additionally, any usernames for individuals that have relocated, retired,
or are no longer with a Minerva library will automatically be culled
regardless of activation. If you need the permissions and functions from
any such username accounts, *please submit a ticket
at http://support.maineinfonet.org <http://support.maineinfonet.org/>*
a new login to mimic that username.
